2010 Suitcase Report On May
3rd, 14 large suitcases were brought to the Haitian Health Foundation in Norwich, CT. These will be filled with clothing and
supplies for the families the HHF serves in Southern Haiti. We thank everyone who gave us suitcases, with a special thanks
to Marilyn Pomeroy who has been our #1 suitcase scout! The needs in Haiti are great and ongoing. Please call us if you have
a suitcase you no longer use. We will be happy to pick it up and see that it gets to the "poorest of the poor" in
Haiti. (old hard-sider cases are especially useful.) Many thanks! Bill & Ruthie Kimball 974-3164
CAROLYN YOUNG WILL GIVE A SECOND
PIANO CONCERT ON JUNE 26 While all the details haven't been decided yet, Carolyn Young will be presenting another
piano concert on the Hopkins' Steinway grand piano in our sanctuary on Saturday evening, June 26. Carolyn is a gifted
pianist and the concert she presented last June was a stunning and beautiful performance. You won't want to miss
the concert this year. Save the date and look for more information in the coming weeks. THE HILL CHURCH
HILLBILLIES have been invited to perform at the East Woodstock Congregational Church's Annual Fourth of July Jamboree!
Reserve the day to enjoy the jamboree and to catch the Hillbillies as they perform in the Gazebo! The time they are scheduled
to begin will be announced as soon as more information becomes available.

ROSELAND COTTAGE B&B TIME: It
will be here before you know it and preparation is underway for the Roseland Cottage Craft Show. With your help the Church
will once again provide a Bed and Breakfast service for the artisans participating in the annual show. The Artisans are selected
in May and begin requesting beds from us by mid June. It's important that I know early who can accommodate people and
how many. Last year we provided 22 people beds for the week-end and served over 40 people at our Saturday night dinner.
I am looking for people willing to share their homes October 15th and 16th. There will be a sign
up sheet in the Great Room. Please call me with any questions. Cheryl Swenson 923-9077 ***
CHICKEN BBQ: It still seems far away, but knowing how
fast the summer always goes by, before we know it, it will be Woodstock Fair time and that means, the Chicken Barbeque!
Help is needed on all days, all shifts. If you would like to help out with this smoky, greasy, crowded fundraiser, you'll
have a lot of fun while helping the church AND we'll even throw in a ticket so you can enjoy the fair before or after
your chicken shift. Please see John Cimochowski if you have any questions. A sign-up sheet will also be in the Great Room.
